Book Review: Running Stupid
I don’t know why, but I found that I had to drag myself to finish reading this book like it was a homework assignment. There’s nothing really wrong with Kipling’s writing, but I personally never connected with the main character or the story. I’m not a big fan of those movies (e.g. Bruce Willis & Sylvester Stallone flicks) where the hero is sadistically abused physically and psychologically for ninety minutes or so, until he exacts a gratifying revenge on his tormentors in the climax. Maybe that was it. I’ll probably be lucky to get even a ‘C’ on this book report. Stupid homework. (3 of 5 Stars)
