When does the “information grid” become a utility like the power grid?

If Google, GoDaddy, Twitter and Facebook were in charge of electricity instead of speech, they would be turning off power to your home and/or business if they don’t like your views, beliefs, associations, history or maybe even your President.  No one would tolerate the resulting chaos.

Regrettably, it seems almost inevitable that Silicon Valley’s information racketeering is going to lead to some kind of government regulation. They would do well to remember that censors, like shoes, come in both left and right.
