Maybe Mayor Bloomberg is Right . . . .

. . . . to a point anyway.

If Mayor Bloomberg’s constituents — the citizens of New York City — are so incredibly stupid and incompetent that they cannot be trusted with a salt shaker or to possess a stick of margarine or to own a soda “magazine” with a capacity larger than 16 ounces or to use an emergency room to seek health care and pain relief from competent (?) medical professionals, then maybe he does need to keep firearms out of their hands. After all, Ron White is right:  “You can’t fix stupid.”

But that’s a mental health issue, not a gun problem.

It has been a few years since I’ve been to New York City, but when exactly did the IQs of the residents of the five boroughs sink to sub-species levels?

I won’t pretend to understand his constituents better than Michael Bloomberg.  It is offensive, though, for the mayor to assume the rest of us are as stupid as, evidently, are his fellow New Yorkers. (Fallacy of Composition)

And they have the nerve to look down on “red necks.”
