“We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.”

Spina Polibifida (Latin: “split eel spine”) is a developmental birth defect wherein an upright vertebrate mammal entrusted with the stewardship of a nation’s well-being exhibits the moral and spiritual back bone of the decopod crustacean known as shrimp.  Spina Polibifida cannot be surgically corrected and is typically aggravated by self-administered chemotherapy, especially the application of alcohol and prescription pain killers.  In extreme cases, conscience and shame sensory receptors are completely overwhelmed and compromised by an addiction to raw, unrefined power.

“Bite Me, You Right Wing Screwball”

November 19, 2010 Leave a comment

I provoked the irrational ire of a self-avowed leftie, Alric_IV (“Bite me, you right-wing screwball.” – http://www.intensedebate.com/users/1461192 & http://www.pacifica.org/ ), when I commented on a Breitbart.com post this week regarding cries of “plagiarism” at the Huffington Post over George W. Bush’s book Decision Points (http://bit.ly/a9IOSz ):

“What in the living hell is wrong with you? He didn’t mention a favorite news site. And nobody but a slope-skulled knucklehead would think of Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh as news. Obama was recommending that people who favor The New York Times should sometimes read The Wall Street Journal. And then he gave a vice-versa example and mentioned The Huffington Post. He did not mention favoring one or the other.

“There’s no dealing with you idiots. You see something, and no matter how goddamned simple it is, you always construe it to mean something it clearly did not. You need a punch upside your goddamned thick skull.”

I guess it is true: When the facts get tough, the left gets ad hominem . . . . and, evidently, violent.

Right Nancy?

“Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. It is the spirit of men who follow and of the man who leads that gains the victory.”

~George S. Patton

Thank you to all those in uniform who have served, do serve and will serve to protect our nation, our freedoms and our citizens.

At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month in 1918:   “The war to end all wars” ended.

CDR: Libotomy

November 10, 2010 Leave a comment

Libotomy is a form of psychosurgery which consists of cutting the connections to and from the anterior regions of the self awareness lobes of the Id and the lateral postcentral gyrus areas of the cerebral cortex related to anosognosia. While the procedure, initially termed a leftotomy, has been controversial since its inception during the New Deal, it remains a mainstream political procedure despite general recognition of frequent and serious side effects. Libotomies are typically performed at an early age by educators and are common place on college campuses and within government bureaucracies.

Rx for ObamaCare: Sherman “Bow Ties”

November 4, 2010 1 comment

Repeal of ObamaCare and the rest of the Progressive freight train of legislation that the Democrats railroaded through Congress is a top priority for Republicans in Congress.  Repealing them en mass, as they were passed, would definitely be good.  Realistically, though, it will be a very tall order to override the President’s inevitable vetoes, especially when the left’s “baby killer” cries start up over pre-existing conditions, 40,000,000 uninsured in the U.S., old ladies stealing their dead sisters’ dentures from the coffin, yada, yada, yada.

Being hard doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be tried, but there are other ways to keep the trains from running on time . . . . or running at all:

During General Sherman’s March to the Sea during the Civil War, in order to deny the Confederates the use of their railroads, it was essential that the rails themselves be rendered useless and unrepairable. To accomplish this, the rails were ripped up, placed on a great bonfire, heated until they were red hot, and then wrapped around a tree. It was the appearance of these rails wrapped around a tree that gave birth to the term “Sherman’s Bow Ties.

ObamaCare could be undone by pulling out individual rails and legislatively rendering them useless and unrepairable — and in the most public manner possible.

Let President Obama and his fellow Democrats in Congress specifically defend stealing taxpayer refunds with IRS ObamaCare penalties . . . . and the funding of abortions with federal dollars . . . . and free federally funded contraceptives . . . . and 1099s for every business transaction over $600 . . . . and gutting Medicare of $500 million . . . . and the “Death Panel” cost/benefit boards . . . . and . . . . and . . . . and  . . . .

If Republicans do not play the game as expected, Democrat hopes (and changes) for 2012 could very well suffer the “death of a thousand cuts.”
